LIMA TO REMAKE LIMPET The long-in-development remake of THE INCREDIBLE MR. LIMPET has nowfallen into the lap of ENCHANTED director Kevin Lima, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. In the Don Knotts original, a boring man is made ahero when he turns into a talking fish that aids the Allies in WWII. Inthe 1964 version, animation vet Robert McKimson directed the 2Danimation of the talking fish. The long gestating project has seen Robin Williams and Jim Carrey at onepoint or another set to star and KING OF THE HILL's Mike Judge was at atime set to direct. Akiva Goldsman, Bill Gerber, Paula Weinstein and James Lassiter willproduce. Chris Chase is the exec producer. Greg Silverman will shepherdthe project for Warner Bros. |
